Hi Michael. I still haven't painted Caribbean Airlines yet. I'm having trouble finding source pictures of the airline font large enough so it' looks good on the paintkit. The current photos are too small and don't look good on the aircraft. So that livery has been put on hold.
Keep your requests coming through and I'll do some more in the near future.
Cheers guys and happy flying.

Kind regards
Matthew
Hi Matthew;

Would this FONT work when you return? :D

Hi Micheal.

No it's way too small at 478 x 186 pixels. The one I have 1600 x 671 pixels and thats too small too.

regards
Matthew

Hello friends,
I have a question that classifies me as a non-expert.
What is the difference in the new 2019 models between normal and mipped texture?
Best regards Michael

Hello Michael

Another member made the following comment which answers your question, Best WilloW

However as far as P3D is concerned, it's almost vital to understand the mip-maps, because when you set certain values and sliders, those actually define your mip-mapping settings. The most important is the "texture resolution" setting, which allows a max value of 4096x4096 but if you set it to 2048x2048, it means the highest resolution you will ever see is 2048x2048. If you have bitmaps (textures) made as 4096x4096, the 2048 setting means you will only see the 2nd mipmap in the image-piramid. The full resolution of the original bitmap will never appear.

The same stands for the "Texture Resolution" slider setting for vector-based scenery (7cm max) which simply regulates the largest mip-map to be called.

Regarding the ProSim planes, mip-mapped textures will always give you better performance, but less visible detail, whereas non-mip-mapped textures will be sharper, crisper but those take much more resources on the GPU.

It also depends on the overall resolution your screen(s) uses, because the higher the resolution is, the better quality you will see without mip-maps.
It also depends on the AA settings you use.
As far as FPS goes, you will see none to minimal difference, but using mip-maps definitely eases and frees up resources on the GPU.
That stands for a single plane, but in case of sceneries, you can observe huge fps differences depending on how a particular scenery is made related to mip-maps.

Would it be possible to get a repaint for PH-GOV (Dutch Government)? I know this is a 737-700 BBJ but possibly just using it as a ''fictional'' 737-800?

Thanks!

Hi Matteo.
Would it be possible, as soon as you have time, to do this livery?
Thank you
