B737 throttle backlight

Post by Hjerterknekt » 04 Feb 2019, 07:11

I would like to know how you adjust throttle backlightning in a real B737 aircraft.
Is it connected together with pedestal panel lightning or together with MIP panel lightning ?
Is there anybody who could give me the answear to this?

It is controlled by the pedestal lighting dimmer

Can I add question I have been meaning to ask for a while?:
How do you adjust the light that shines down, onto the Throttle Quadrant, from the slit in the Overhead. Where is that dimmed from?
Is that lighting source in parallel with the light that shines down onto the main Pedestal from the rear of the Fwd Ohd, and is controlled by the dimmer knob on the Pedestal?
Full enc. Cockpit: Prosim737 V2.1x : P3Dv4.4: REX Env. & Sky Force: Orbx Scenery: GSX; Simworld Fwd OHD: Jetmax manual Throttle: OC USB Radios; MCP; 2 x EFIS; 1 x CDU: GTX 1070 4 ext views. Total 5 PCs in HP 1GB private network.

This is controlled by the FLOOD dimmer on the pedestal, but there is only one flood light in the fwd overhead. The "slit" you are referring to (if i am reading you correctly!) is the one just between the GND CALL and ATTEND buttons?
That is for the overhead safety catch, not a light. Most sims dont have anything in the slot, but on the real OH there is a hook that stops the panel falling down if the 2 lock fasteners come undone.

Ahh, that makes sense.
For some reason I thought there were two sources of light. One for the throttle and one for the pedestal. Wrong again.
You are correct, my OHD does not have the catch. Something I will need to explore.

Your panel looks terrific! - Dzus fasteners, solenoid controlled starters switches and everything.

Going to be outstanding.

Thanks again
