Re: Planning a fuel stop

Hi Guys,

I managed to get the flight released. Not much fuel to spare.. enough for a diversion to Heathrow or one go around..maybe :) Trip fuel was 19777. ETOPS disabled, 5 pax.. 459KG of cargo. I wont fly that either, but I did want to achieve a full tanks fuel situation. One major change I made was to set alow Maximum fuel. Also used (no reserves).
Best wishes,
Ed

PFPX v.2.03 made a fllight plan without (major) problems - the route after LIFFY is not validating correctly, but the main thing is, that I have no problems making this route. And using ETOPS as well.

Released with 17.4 tons. That certainly is much better than my release of 19.8 tons. I have to check and see what my fuel bias is. Not sure if I have set to 102. Thanks for your input Torben.
Best wishes,
Ed

...one more thing. PFPX takes into consideration the winds. So depending on the jetstream you can have more or less luck in being able to do the flight. Certainly the opposite direction will be a much bigger challenge.

Turns out my fuel bias was set to 150%. I've now set it to 102% so I think this will make a huge difference.
